In 2025, we welcomed over 2.2 million visitors from Mainland Europe to the island of Ireland, who spent almost €1.9/£1.7 billion during their time here. In 2025, Mainland Europe delivered almost one-third (30%) of all overseas tourism revenue and around one-quarter (27%) of all overseas visitors.
Tourism Ireland promotes the island of Ireland in nine Mainland European markets – DACH countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and the Nordic region
