In 2024, we welcomed almost 2.5 million visitors from Mainland Europe to the island of Ireland, who spent almost €2.2/£1.9 billion during their time here. In 2024, Mainland Europe delivered around one-third (32%) of all overseas tourism revenue and one-third (29%) of all overseas visitors.
Tourism Ireland promotes the island of Ireland in nine Mainland European markets – Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, the Nordic region, Austria and Switzerland.
