Tourism Ireland’s virtual industry update about our new strategy for growth from Mainland Europe
At the update, we will discuss our programme of consumer promotions, publicity and partnership activity for 2026 in our Mainland European markets. We’ll also be sharing details of how you, our industry partners, can get involved.
Our Mainland European markets continue to be very important for overseas tourism to the island of Ireland, delivering around 32% of total overseas tourism revenue each year and around 29% of total visitors. Tourism Ireland is active in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands (BeNe), the Nordic countries, Switzerland and Austria.
