Rugby legend Ronan O’Gara tells rugby fans in France what fills his heart with Ireland 

Rugby legend – and Corkman – Ronan O'Gara was the star of a new Tourism Ireland campaign to promote Cork in France in autumn 2023. The campaign – which was specially timed to coincide with the Rugby World Cup – included a new video featuring O’Gara visiting various locations in Kinsale and Cork city that ‘fill his heart with Ireland’. It targeted our culturally curious audience who enjoy rugby. As well as showcasing some of the many great things to see and do on a holiday in Kinsale and Cork, the campaign was about encouraging French holidaymakers to fly or sail direct to Cork during the off-season months. The video ran on Tourism Ireland’s YouTube channel in France and on digital outdoor screens in the cities where the Ireland rugby team were playing, including Paris (Saint-Denis and Saint-Lazare), Nantes and Bordeaux.
