Tourism Ireland shines spotlight on the island of Ireland in the Netherlands

Ireland is in the spotlight in the Netherlands this week – as Tourism Ireland hosts its annual B2B travel trade workshop in Amsterdam.

Seventeen (17) tourism companies from across the island – from diverse hotels and outdoor adventure providers to visitor attractions and hidden gems of heritage – joined Tourism Ireland at the workshop, engaging in meetings with Dutch travel professionals. Hundreds of commercial meetings were conducted at the event, inspiring fresh itineraries and ensuring that the island of Ireland features strongly in future programmes to deliver valuable overseas tourism business for the island of Ireland in 2027 and beyond.

Karen van der Horst, Tourism Ireland’s Manager for Northern Europe, said: “I’m delighted that our valued Dutch travel partners are taking the time to meet with us in Amsterdam this week, finding out more about the richness of our tourism offering. Our aim is to create meaningful connections between tourism SMEs from the island of Ireland with Dutch travel professionals who can bring visitors at scale.”

The workshop provides a valuable opportunity for Tourism Ireland and its partners from Ireland to remind the Dutch travel professionals about the many great things to see and do across the island of Ireland – including our spectacular scenery, superb food and drink offering, as well as our world-class visitor attractions and outdoor experiences.
