Top international journalists discover Northern Ireland’s connection to ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’
10 million to read all about Northern Ireland in international media
The highly anticipated A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms arrives on HBO Max this month, with Northern Ireland once again taking centre stage as the magical backdrop of this new adventure.
Tourism Ireland, in conjunction with Tourism NI, invited eight international travel journalists to visit Northern Ireland – to celebrate and find out more about Northern Ireland’s connection with the highly anticipated drama series. The journalists – from GB, France, Spain, Italy, Canada, Belgium and the Netherlands – have a combined reach of around 10 million.
The itinerary brought the journalists to some of the show’s most recognisable backdrops, including Glenarm Castle and Tollymore Forest Park. They also visited Belfast’s historic Titanic Quarter, where they enjoyed a Glass of Thrones walking trail, as well as Game of Thrones Studio Tour.
Elmagh Killeen, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Brand and Marketing Communications, said: “To coincide with the premiere of the highly anticipated ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’, we invited top international journalists to come and explore some of the show’s filming locations for themselves. With a combined audience of around 10 million, their articles are sure to resonate with fans of the show, inspiring them to come and explore Northern Ireland for themselves.”
