‘Teeing up’ Ireland at DP World Tour Championship in Dubai

Tourism Ireland is attending the DP World Tour Championship, at the Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai this week, promoting our world-class golf. Four tourism companies from the island of Ireland are joining Tourism Ireland at this important event in the golfing calendar.

A key event on the European Tour and the climax of the DP World Tour Rankings, the DP World Tour Championship attracts top players, international golf journalists and thousands of spectators each year – providing a fantastic platform to showcase Ireland and our superb golf courses. As we rebuild our overseas tourism business, promoting golf holidays in Ireland is a focus for Tourism Ireland in key golf markets around the world.

Aisling McDermott, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Asia and Middle East, said:“Our presence at this year’s DP World Tour Championship in Dubai is an excellent opportunity to remind golfers that the island of Ireland offers some of the very best golf in the world, as well as spectacular scenery and fantastic experiences. We’re also taking every opportunity to highlight the fact that The Open will return to Royal Portrush in 2025 and the Ryder Cup will take place at Adare Manor in 2027. Tourism Ireland will be pulling out all the stops once again to leverage the tourism potential of these prestigious sporting events, here in the UAE and in our other important golf markets.”
