Showcasing Ireland’s world-class golf in Glasgow

Seventeen (17) top British golf tour operators attended ‘Golf in Ireland’, a B2B golf workshop and networking event organised by Tourism Ireland in Glasgow this week – where they met, and did business with, 17 golf and tourism companies from the island of Ireland.

The aim of the event was to highlight Ireland’s world-class golf and tourism offering to the participating British golf tour operators. It involved a workshop of around 290 one-to-one meetings and a presentation from Tourism Ireland, as well as networking opportunities – providing an excellent platform for the golf and tourism companies from Ireland to showcase and sell their products and services and to negotiate business for 2026 and beyond.

Julie Wakley, Tourism Ireland's Head of Great Britain, said: “We were delighted that these key British golf tour operators took the time to come and meet with our golf and tourism operators from Ireland in Glasgow this week. Our aim was to highlight our world-class golf and superb luxury tourism offering to the influential British golf tour operators and to help secure a greater share of their business in 2026 and beyond.

“We’re also taking every opportunity to highlight the fact that Adare Manor will host the Ryder Cup next year and that the Walker Cup will take place in Lahinch and the Irish Open at Trump International Golf Links in Doonbeg this year. We know that the combination of our world-class golf and our unique brand of hospitality plays a key role in attracting golfers from Britain and around the world.”
