Promoting the island of Ireland as a luxury destination in the US

The island of Ireland was promoted to luxury travel advisors in four US cities this week – at Tourism Ireland’s Luxury Summit which visited the cities of Dallas, Austin, Phoenix and Denver.

Thirteen (13) tourism companies from the island of Ireland took part in the Luxury Summit roadshow, which involved workshop sessions, presentations and networking in each city. It was an excellent opportunity to connect with the US travel professionals, to encourage them to extend their Ireland offering, or to include the island of Ireland for the first time, in their luxury travel programmes for 2026 and beyond.

Alison Metcalfe, Tourism Ireland’s Head of North America, said: “Our Luxury Summit this week was an excellent platform for Tourism Ireland and our partners from Ireland to promote the superb luxury tourism offering available right around the island, from historic castles and contemporary resorts to private tours, gourmet dining and bespoke cultural experiences. Our aim is to raise awareness of Ireland as a luxury destination among the travel advisors in attendance and to secure a greater share of their valuable business in 2026 and beyond.”
