Popular German actor stars in Tourism Ireland’s ‘love story’ videos
Actor Uke Bosse shines spotlight on Ireland’s Ancient East in new Tourism Ireland promotion in Germany
Tourism Ireland has unveiled a new promotion highlighting Ireland’s Ancient East in Germany. It involves a series of short videos fronted by a popular German actor and comedian called Uke Bosse.
Uke visited Ireland’s Ancient East this spring and filmed at various locations including Clissmann Horse Caravans, Clonmacnoise, Powerscourt Estate and Wineport Lodge. His crew also captured footage of him enjoying a cruise on the Shannon with Silverline Cruisers and checking out a fairy trail at Glasson Lakehouse with another German actor, Axel Prahl.
Four short videos are being shared with potential holidaymakers across Germany on social channels, including Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest, and will deliver over 2 million opportunities to see (reach). A longer video is running on YouTube.
Nadine Lehmann, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Germany, said: “Uke Bosse is a popular actor and comedian in Germany, so this is a fun way to showcase our stunning scenery and some of the many things to see and do in Ireland’s Ancient East to potential German holidaymakers.
“Publicity and creating compelling content are key elements of Tourism Ireland’s programme of activity, to inspire holidaymakers in Germany to choose the island of Ireland for their next holiday.”
