Millions of people around the world to read all about Titanic Belfast reimagined

News about the wonderful new galleries and artefacts at Titanic Belfast will be shared with millions of people in GB, the United States, Germany, Spain and Italy.

Tourism Ireland invited journalists from leading daily newspapers and lifestyle magazines, including the Daily Express (GB), Los Angeles Times (US) and Rheinische Post (Germany), as well as a popular German podcaster, Stefan Nink, to visit Belfast for a ‘sneak preview’ of the reimagined Titanic Belfast, prior to its reopening. The group’s itinerary was organised by Tourism NI.

As well as Titanic Belfast, the journalists also visited some of our other attractions which tell the story of Belfast’s shipbuilding history – including the SS Nomadic, HMS Caroline, Belfast Harbour Office, Titanic Distillers and the Maritime Mile. They also took a Titanic Belfast Discovery Tour and stayed in the Titanic Hotel Belfast.

Tourism Ireland is taking every opportunity to highlight Titanic Belfast following its multimillion-pound refreshment programme.

Helen McGorman, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Stakeholder Engagement NI, said:“Tourism Ireland was delighted to invite these influential journalists to experience the reimagined Titanic Belfast for themselves – helping to spread the word about the new galleries and artefacts, as well as the many other things to see and do in Belfast.

“As we continue to rebuild overseas tourism to Northern Ireland, the multimillion-pound refreshment of this truly world-class visitor attraction is excellent news for Northern Ireland tourism, helping to give us significant ‘stand-out’ in the very competitive international marketplace. We will be pulling out all the stops to promote Titanic Belfast and Northern Ireland around the world, in 2023 and beyond.”
