‘Meet in Ireland’ is the message in Texas

Tourism Ireland and partners promote the island of Ireland for corporate meetings and incentive travel in Dallas and Houston

Ten tourism companies from the island of Ireland joined Tourism Ireland in Texas this week to promote the island as the ideal destination for corporate meetings and incentive travel.

The ‘Meet in Ireland’ showcase visited Dallas and Houston and involved B2B events in each city, where the tourism companies from Ireland – all specialists in Business Events – connected with over 30 US meeting and event planners. Tourism Ireland’s message is that the island of Ireland offers a winning combination of world-class infrastructure, unique and luxurious accommodation, state-of-the-art venues, spectacular landscapes and fantastic hospitality, making it the perfect destination for meetings and incentive travel.

Earlier this week, Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke TD launched Business Events 2030 – Ireland’s new Business Events strategy – which will play a crucial role in positioning Ireland as a leader in the global Business Events market, ensuring we attract high value business that brings overseas visitors and long-term benefits for the economy and communities.

David Boyce, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Business Events and Luxury, said: “Our ‘Meet in Ireland’ Texas showcase provided a great platform to promote the island of Ireland as a premier destination for Business Events. We were delighted to have ten tourism companies from the island of Ireland with us this week, showcasing the best of Ireland to influential American meeting and incentive travel planners.

“Business travel is high value and often midweek and off season by its nature, thereby aligning with Tourism Ireland’s ambition to grow overseas tourism revenue outside of the peak summer season and support businesses across the island.”

‘Meet in Ireland’ is the official MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and events) brand for the island of Ireland, comprising Tourism Ireland, Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Northern Ireland, who work in partnership to promote the island of Ireland as a leading Business Events destination.
