Ireland hits the road in Canada!

Tourism Ireland and partners join Royal Irish Tours for 25th anniversary roadshow visiting four cities in Ontario

The island of Ireland was promoted to around 300 Canadian tour operators and travel agents in four cities in Ontario this week – at a travel trade roadshow visiting the cities of London, Hamilton, Oshawa and Toronto. The roadshow was organised by Tourism Ireland and leading Canadian tour operator Royal Irish Tours, to celebrate 25 years of collaboration.  

Twelve (12) tourism companies from the island of Ireland took part in the milestone roadshow, which involved a workshop, presentations and networking opportunities in each city. It was a great opportunity to meet and do business with the Canadian travel professionals, to encourage them to extend their Ireland offering, or to include the island of Ireland for the first time, in their programmes for 2026 and beyond. 

Sandra Moffatt, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Canada, said: “This week’s roadshow celebrates 25 years of strong collaboration between Tourism Ireland and Royal Irish Tours, one of our most valued partners in Canada. We’re delighted that around 300 key Canadian travel professionals took the time to come and meet with our partners from Ireland, to learn all about our superb tourism offering. Our aim is to increase their awareness of the island of Ireland, to help us secure a greater share of their business for Ireland in 2026 and beyond.”
