Influencers spread the word about Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands in Great Britain

A group of popular influencers from Great Britain – who have a combined following of more than 560,000 on Instagram – explored Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands this week, as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.

The influencers – Jack Anstey (@jack_anste), Jasmin White (@thesecountryroads), Lou Archell (@littlegreenshed), Michelle Corbett (@crazycatladyldn) and Tommy Brady (@tommybrady7) – have been capturing lots of great content here and sharing it with their Instagram followers, to inspire them to choose Ireland for their next holiday.

The group’s trip kicked off with a visit to Newbridge Silverware Visitor Centre and then it was onto Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands. Their itinerary included a cruise on the River Shannon and Lough Derg with Killaloe River Cruises, as well as visits to McKernan Woollen Mills, Wilde Irish Chocolates and Lough Key Forest & Activity Park. They also cycled along the Shannon-Erne Blueway before heading out on the water for some canoeing. To finish off their trip, the influencers took some time to relax in Glasson Lakehouse’s Brooks & Co. Spa.

Julie Wakley, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Great Britain, said: “We know that holidaymakers are increasingly using social media for inspirational travel content and ideas, so we were delighted to welcome this group of popular British influencers to Ireland. They have been generating and sharing wonderful content about Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands – encouraging their followers, in turn, to put Ireland on their holiday ‘wish-list’ for this year and beyond.”
