Golf journalists ‘tee up’ Northern Ireland for millions across GB

Millions of golf enthusiasts across GB are set to discover more about our world-class golf, following the recent visit of six leading golf journalists. Representing a range of print and digital media outlets in GB, the journalists were invited here by Tourism Ireland and Tourism Northern Ireland, to experience some of our top courses first-hand.

During their visit, the group put their skills to the test on a mix of our superb parkland and links courses – including Malone, Galgorm Castle, Portstewart and Cairndhu. As well as experiencing Northern Ireland’s renowned golf, the journalists also visited the Giant’s Causeway and sampled the warm welcome and hospitality for which this destination is known.

Julie Wakley, Tourism Ireland's Head of GB, said: “The visit by these leading golf journalists to Northern Ireland is a valuable opportunity to showcase some of our top courses. The print and online articles they produce will reach millions of GB golfers, highlighting our exceptional golf, stunning scenery and unique hospitality. With Adare Manor set to host the Ryder Cup in just one year's time, there has never been a better time to inspire golfers to start planning a trip to the island of Ireland."
