GB golf journalists tee off in Northern Ireland

Millions of golf fans across GB – and potential holidaymakers for Northern Ireland – are set to read all about our superb golf courses, following a visit by leading GB golf journalists. Representing major media outlets including the Daily Mail, The Telegraph and The Sun, the journalists were here as guests of Tourism Ireland and Tourism NI.

The journalists had the opportunity to test their skills at Holywood Golf Club, Castlerock Golf Club and the world-famous Dunluce Links at Royal Portrush, the venue for this summer’s hugely successful 153rd Open Championship. Beyond the fairways, the journalists also took time to visit Titanic Belfast and to explore the Causeway Coastal Route.

Judith Cassidy, Tourism Ireland’s Acting Head of GB, said:“We were delighted to invite these leading golf journalists to Northern Ireland, to experience some of our top courses for themselves. The print and online articles they produce will reach millions of GB golfers – a fantastic opportunity to showcase our exceptional golf, stunning scenery and unique hospitality. We know that the combination of our world-class golf and our unique brand hospitality plays a key role in attracting golfers from GB and around the world.”
