French travel media explore Northern Ireland

Four French travel journalists – writing for magazines and a daily regional newspaper with a combined reach of more than 600,000 readers – have been exploring Northern Ireland this week, as guests of Tourism Ireland and Tourism NI.

The group’s itinerary included Titanic Belfast, Titanic Hotel and a food and music tour of Belfast. The Gobbins Cliff Path, Glenarm Castle and whiskey tasting, as well as a wolfhound walk at The Harbourview Hotel also featured. Further along the Causeway Coastal Route, the journalists visited Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, the Giant’s Causeway, Dunluce Castle and Old Bushmills Distillery and enjoyed an Irish harp experience at The Courthouse Shared Space Creative Hub in Bushmills.

Barbara Wood, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Southern Europe, said: “Tourism Ireland was delighted to invite these influential French journalists to discover first-hand Northern Ireland’s spectacular landscapes, vibrant culture and wealth of visitor experiences. The articles written by these journalists are sure to inspire their readers to come and experience Northern Ireland for themselves.”
