French travel agents explore Ireland
A group of French travel agents from leading travel agency Havas Voyages has been exploring Ireland this week – as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.
The aim of the travel professionals’ visit is to familiarise them with Ireland, ensuring they return home with first-hand knowledge of our superb tourism offering and renewed enthusiasm when advising their clients about planning and booking their holidays here.
The group’s itinerary included Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, a boat cruise from Doolin around the Cliffs of Moher, Killary Fjord, a sheepdog demonstration and lamb feeding at Killary Sheep Farm, followed by a tour of Kylemore Abbey. Ahascragh Distillery, Irish National Stud & Gardens, Trinity College, Guinness Storehouse and Christ Church Cathedral also featured on their programme.
Ana Luis, Tourism Ireland’s Trade Partnership Manager France, said: “We were delighted to invite this group of leading French travel agents to Ireland, to experience at first-hand our spectacular scenery and unique tourism attractions and experiences. Ireland has so much to offer French visitors, with direct air and sea access making it a popular holiday destination choice. Visits like this are extremely important to continue to build awareness of Ireland and our excellent tourism offering among key French travel trade partners.”
