French travel agents experience Ireland’s luxury tourism offering
Eight luxury travel agents from France are exploring Ireland this week, as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland. Their programme was designed in partnership with Abbey Group.
The aim of the visit is to familiarise the French travel agents with Ireland and our superb luxury tourism offering, so that when they return home, they will be better informed and more enthusiastic than ever about Ireland when advising their clients about planning and booking their next luxury holiday.
Ana Luis, Tourism Ireland’s Trade Partnership Manager France, said: “Tourism Ireland was delighted to invite this group of specialist luxury travel agents to Ireland, to experience at first-hand some of our luxury tourism offering, including our unique visitor experiences, boutique hotels and high-end resorts. Seeing is believing and our aim is that when they return home, they will be even more enthusiastic about the destination, helping to secure a greater share of their business for Ireland in 2026 and beyond.”
During their time here, the luxury travel agents carried out site inspections at some of our top luxury hotels, including Ashford Castle, The Grace, Mount Falcon, Castle Leslie Estate and Carton House.
The travel agents’ busy itinerary also included Glen Keen Farm in Louisburgh. They enjoyed a walking food tour and horse-riding in Westport, as well as an oyster farm tour and tasting experience at Croagh Patrick Seafoods before a scenic cruise of Clew Bay. A seaweed bathing experience with VOYA Seaweed Baths and a private tour of Slane Castle and Slane Distillery also featured on the programme.
