European tour operators discover Ireland
Twelve (12) tour operators from Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Norway, are exploring Ireland this week, as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.
The visiting tour operators are important partners for Tourism Ireland, bringing valuable visitors from Mainland Europe to the island of Ireland each year. Tourism Ireland aims to familiarise them with our superb tourism offering, to ensure Ireland continues to feature prominently in their future programmes.
Karen van der Horst, Tourism Ireland's Manager for Northern Europe, said: “Tourism Ireland was delighted to invite this group of tour operators to experience Ireland first-hand. Seeing is believing and our aim is that when they return home, they will be even more enthusiastic about the destination, helping to secure a greater share of their business for Ireland in 2026 and beyond.”
The tour operators’ busy itinerary included visits to Brú na Bóinne, Glendalough Visitor Centre, Beyond the Trees Avondale and Powerscourt Waterfall, as well as guided tours of Killruddery House & Gardens and Newbridge Silverware. They also enjoyed a Hidden Howth Experience, a visit to Windmill Lane Recording Studios and a walking food tour with Dublin Food Tour.
