American and British destination wedding and event planners experience Ireland
Seven wedding and event planners from the United States and Britain, all specialists in designing high-end destination weddings and private celebrations, have been visiting Ireland, as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland – in collaboration with Olivia Buckley International (Irish luxury weddings and events agency).
The aim is to showcase Ireland's luxury hotels and venues to the visiting planners, who deliver bespoke celebrations in some of the world’s most prestigious destinations. They’re experiencing first-hand some of the unique venues and luxury accommodation that make Ireland a great choice for destination weddings and special events.
During their time here, the planners have been carrying out site inspections at various resort hotels, luxury castles and country house hotels, including Ballyfin, Cashel Palace Hotel, Park Hotel Kenmare, The Europe Hotel & Resort, Adare Manor and Luttrellstown Castle.
David Boyce, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Business Events and Luxury, said: “Tourism Ireland was delighted to welcome this group of destination wedding and event planners to Ireland, to experience first-hand the exceptional venues and bespoke experiences, as well as our renowned hospitality, that make Ireland an outstanding choice for destination weddings and special celebrations.
“Visits like this are an important opportunity to showcase our luxury offering and build relationships with key decision-makers who influence where high-value celebrations and events take place. Our aim is to ensure that the planners return home ready to recommend Ireland to their clients for their high-end weddings and celebrations in 2027 and beyond.”
