Linen Mill Studios in Banbridge was the venue for Tourism Ireland’s first board meeting of 2022, which took place this week (Wednesday, 2 February). The board members took the opportunity to take in a preview of Northern Ireland’s newest visitor attraction – Game of Thrones Studio Tour.
Speaking after the board meeting, Niall Gibbons, Chief Executive of Tourism Ireland, said: “We were delighted to be in Banbridge for this month’s board meeting and to have the chance to visit the new Game of Thrones Studio Tour at Linen Mill Studios. As we prepare to restart tourism from overseas this year, the opening of this truly world-class visitor attraction is excellent news for Northern Ireland tourism, helping to give us significant ‘stand-out’ in the very competitive international marketplace. It will provide fans of the series and people interested in the making of film and TV with an extra special reason to book a trip to Northern Ireland.
“Tourism Ireland is delighted to bring 50 top international journalists and influencers from 12 countries to Game of Thrones Studio Tour this week, to experience this outstanding new attraction at first-hand. We will be pulling out all the stops to promote Game of Thrones Studio Tour and Northern Ireland in our extensive programme of promotional activity around the world, in 2022 and beyond.”
