Recent figures released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) confirm that arrivals from the United States to Ireland grew by +20% in 2016 to over 1.6 million – that’s more than 260,000 additional American arrivals when compared to the previous year.
Results for the first nine months of 2016 from the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) suggest that North American visitors to Northern Ireland grew by +13% to 1.5 million, when compared to the same period in 2015. No breakdown for US visitors is currently available.
