There is so much to discover in Dublin, and every year the city adds more great experiences that make it a superb destination, even for those who have visited before. For 2026, Dublin is lining up exciting new tours, wonderful food experiences and new top-notch hotels right in the heart of the city.

Take a tour and discover Dublin’s delights

Dublin is a great city to explore on foot, with many of its top attractions easily accessible from the city centre. To get an authentic view of the city and a feel for its character, take a tour with a local guide. The withlocals walking tours are private and can be customised to meet your needs, ensuring that you and your group get an attentive and fully personalised experience.

Discover the highlights of Dublin’s architecture, history and heritage, find out the best places to eat and what cool events are happening and along the way enjoy the insights that only a Dubliner can give. New for 2026 is a tour of south Dublin’s beautiful coastal area.

To get a different view of the city, take a boat tour that explores Dublin Bay, a UNESCO Biosphere, which is internationally recognised for its fascinating natural heritage, important habitats and species of wildlife. Goat Boat Tours leave from picturesque Dun Laoghaire harbour and offer breathtaking views of the coastline and a chance to spot the local marine wildlife. With a strong focus on sustainability, the tours champion the protection of local biodiversity while providing an amazing day out.

Indulge in luxury culinary experiences

If fine dining is your thing, two fabulous new culinary experiences will be available to delight your tastebuds in 2026. At magnificent Malahide Castle, you can enjoy the elegance of a bygone era at an eighteenth-century-style Hunt Dinner Party. On arrival, you’ll be greeted by majestic Irish wolfhounds, a symbol of Ireland’s heritage, before taking your seat in the imposing Nugent’s Hall. A sumptuous four-course meal with fine wine, rounded off by a Lambay whiskey, is just part of the entertaining and immersive historical experience.

Or maybe you would like to combine fabulous views of the city with superb food at Dublin’s first luxury rooftop dining destination. Díon restaurant is the reincarnation of the historic building that was once the Central Bank of Ireland and combines rich 1970s-inspired furnishings, contemporary design and 360o views of the city. Its menus promise a bold take on Irish cuisine celebrating the best of the island’s produce.

Rest your head in the city’s newest accommodation

Dublin’s choice of excellent accommodation will be further enhanced in 2026 with the opening of several new hotels as well as guest houses and glamping options.

Hoxton will open its first Irish hotel near the city’s vibrant Temple Bar area. It will boast its trademark cosy, welcoming spaces with décor that reflects an Irish-pub-meets-Hox vibe. Other new arrivals will include Home2 Suites by Hilton offering contemporary, home-inspired amenities and Sofitel Dublin Airport that will provide a luxury experience for travellers.

If you want to combine a visit to Dublin city with a stay in the gorgeous Irish countryside, the perfect accommodation awaits at Hidden Acres near the pretty village of Malahide. The guesthouse and glamping pods offer comfort and relaxation in an oasis of tranquillity, while the vibrant city centre is just a 30-minute drive away.
