On Friday 28 and Saturday 29 November, four of North America’s top men’s college programmes – the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Tigers, Sacred Heart University Pioneers, Miami University RedHawks, and Union College Garnet Chargers – will battle for the prestigious Belpot Trophy in front of a passionate crowd at the home of the Belfast Giants.
Founded by The Odyssey Trust and held annually at The SSE Arena, Belfast, the Friendship Four is the first and only NCAA Division One men’s ice hockey tournament to take place outside of North America. Since its inception in 2015, the tournament has become a flagship event, bringing world-class collegiate hockey to Belfast while promoting education, cultural exchange, and community engagement.
Whether you’re a die-hard hockey fan or just love a fun and unique night out, the Friendship Four is one of the highlights of Belfast’s sporting calendar, and this year’s lineup promises fast, physical, and fiercely competitive hockey from the opening face-off.
