Irish designers and creatives will be front and centre this autumn with two major week - long events celebrating their talent and rising international influence.

New for 2025, Ireland Fashion Week (October 6–10) will be an exciting countrywide event featuring seven fashion shows across Dublin, Connemara, and the Midlands. Some 54 designers, from top names to emerging talent, will present their work in the themed shows that span heritage (Paul Costello) to streetwear (RASHIIID by Rachel Maguire) and sportswear (Bold Golf).

A highlight will be The Irish Roots Show, which will present a culmination of the best that Ireland has to offer in terms of cultivating tradition and history. Participating labels will include TrionaIrelandsEyeAvocaJack MurphyMagee 1866Amy Frankie MoroneyHelen SteeleLouis Copeland, and Mary O'Sullivan. These brands demonstrate the evolution of Irish design from traditional craft techniques to contemporary applications.

A Spotlight show will feature Sasha Donnellan’s contemporary designs and the Irish Sea Graduate Show will present the work of the next generation of designers. High-profile fashion dinners, a month-long exhibition and community events will complement the runway shows.

Irish designers are already influencing the direction of iconic fashion brands. Jonathan Anderson will soon take up the role of creative director at Dior while Sean McGirr is creative director at McQueen. And following in her father’s footsteps, Simone Rocha has achieved international renown with A-list fans including Rihanna and Keira Knightley. Ireland Fashion Week will further raise the profile of the unique perspective that Irish designers offer.

Ireland’s biggest celebration of design in its wider application is Irish Design Week (17–21 November) organised by the Design & Crafts Council Ireland. The annual event will this year focus on the theme of The Ties that Tie, and the Links that Link, inviting designers to offer a creative response to the topic in an innovative and sustainable way.

Irish Design Week provides a platform for the best local and international talent to share their perspectives on why design matters and its role in addressing today’s complex challenges. Some 60 events across workshops, film screenings, exhibitions, talks, conferences, award shows, and open studios will take place across the country celebrating Ireland’s design creativity and underscoring the importance of design and innovation across multiple disciplines.
