Legends made, history written, a new chapter begins in Ireland  - Adare Manor

September 29, 2025, The golfing world is still catching its breath this morning after an electrifying Ryder Cup showdown at the iconic Bethpage Black course where Team Europe secured a sensational victory on American soil.

Irish stars Shane Lowry and Rory McIlroy played pivotal roles throughout the tournament, with Lowry delivering the decisive half-point that ensured Europe retained the coveted trophy in front of packed galleries at the New York venue.

All eyes now turn to Ireland, as the countdown begins for the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor, where the tournament will celebrate its 100th anniversary. This is a fantastic opportunity for Ireland to showcase its world-class golf and promote the island to millions of fans and visitors from around the globe.

Ireland is no stranger to hosting world-class golf tournaments, having recently staged the 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush in July to global acclaim. With over 400 courses, and one third of the world’s natural links courses - including the top tier Ballybunion, Lahinch, and Royal County Down - Ireland is firmly established as a premium golf tournament and leisure destination.

2026 will see the DP World Tour Amgen Irish Open at Trump International Golf Links in Doonbeg. The KPMG Women’s Irish Open will be at the K Club in County Kildare. Also, not forgetting the prestigious Walker Cup which will take place at Lahinch Golf Club.

Ireland’s Ryder Cup roots run strong, with legends like Padraig Harrington, former captain Paul McGinley, and unforgettable moments like Darren Clarke’s performance at the K Club in 2006 when Ireland last hosted the event.

The stunning setting of one of our most beautiful manor house hotels, together with the passion of the fans, makes Adare Manor a truly superb venue to showcase our golf and Ireland.

Ms McManamy continued: ‘Adare, County Limerick, is the gateway to the Wild Atlantic Way - a stunning 2,500-kilometre coastal route from Malin Head to Kinsale, offering visitors breathtaking scenery and rich culture. With direct flights from many US, UK, and European cities into Dublin and regional airports including Shannon, Cork, and Ireland West Airport, getting to Ireland and the Wild Atlantic Way has never been easier.
