EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum has been chosen through an independent selection process to feature in the internationally broadcast television series World's Greatest!, with its dedicated episode airing on Bloomberg Television on Saturday 18 July and Saturday 25 July. The prestigious documentary series, which has been running 20 years, profiles organisations, destinations and businesses that have demonstrated excellence in their field, from Fortune 500 companies such as Samsung and P&G to small innovators disrupting their industries.

EPIC Museum - Dublin

For EPIC, the feature represents a significant international endorsement of an Irish cultural institution that has redefined how the story of Irish emigration is told, bringing the experiences of hundreds of emigrants to life through immersive storytelling, cutting-edge technology and deeply personal human stories. Filmed on location at the museum in the heart of Dublin's Docklands, the programme takes viewers behind the scenes at one of Europe's most innovative museums, showcasing EPIC's interactivity, its newly upgraded front vault galleries and the pioneering digital approach that has earned it international acclaim. It also shines a spotlight on EPIC’s Irish Family History Centre, where visitors from around the world can uncover their Irish ancestry and reconnect with their roots. With more than 70 million people worldwide claiming Irish ancestry, genealogy tourism continues to be one of Ireland's fastest-growing tourism sectors. The documentary features a moving visitor testimonial illustrating the emotional impact of discovering Ireland's global story plus interviews with the CEO and members of the team, including EPIC’s founder Neville Isdell, former Chairman and CEO of Coca-Cola

For Ireland, this international recognition extends beyond one museum. It highlights the country's growing reputation for delivering world-class cultural experiences and reinforces the global appeal of Ireland's history, heritage and diaspora. "Our mission has always been to inspire audiences from around the world with a deeper understanding of Irish identity and culture through the stories of ordinary and extraordinary emigrants of Ireland whose influence can be found in every corner of the globe," said Aileesh Carew, CEO of EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum

EPIC - Leaving the Island

"To be selected by World's Greatest! is a tremendous honour and a wonderful recognition of the passion, creativity and commitment of our entire team. Every day we welcome visitors who are moved not only by Ireland's past, but by the extraordinary impact Irish people have had on the world. We're excited that audiences watching Bloomberg Television will now have the opportunity to discover that story too. As our founder Neville says ‘you can leave Ireland, but Ireland never leaves you’" Since opening in Dublin's CHQ Building 10 years ago, EPIC has transformed expectations of what a museum can be. The World’s Greatest! feature marks another milestone in its growing international reputation and further strengthens Ireland's position as a destination for world-class cultural tourism. As international travel continues to recover and genealogy tourism grows, the museum's appearance on Bloomberg Television will introduce millions of viewers to one of Dublin's most acclaimed visitor attractions and to the enduring story of the Irish diaspora. -ENDS-
