Dublin Gallery Weekend puts art at the heart of the city
Dublin will be transformed into a city-wide canvas when, over four days, Dublin Gallery Weekend 2025 (6–9 November) floods streets, laneways, and cultural landmarks with contemporary art, experimental performance, and creative energy.
More than 40 galleries, cultural institutions, creative spaces and artist studios across the capital will unite to present brand new exhibitions featuring work from over 100 of Ireland’s most exciting contemporary artists. From painting to sculpture, installation to performance, digital art to street work, the programme spans the full spectrum of artistic practice. Audiences can expect provocative debuts from rising stars, stellar new work from established icons and favourite masters up-close-and-personal.

Patrick Graham
With more than 60 free events, the weekend is accessible to all and invites collectors, casual browsers and culturally curious city breakers to explore the city and its art through exhibitions, trails, studio tours, talks, workshops and late-night socials.
Among the highlights will be solo exhibitions by top Irish artists. Ahead of the Venice Biennale, Isabel Nolan will be exhibiting her new work, which spans sculpture, painting, tapestry and words on paper, at the Kerlin Gallery. At nearby Soloman Fine Art, Corban Walker will present striking explorations of scale and space, while Kevin Kavanagh gallery will showcase Geraldine O’Neill’s layered ‘slow art’ installations. Patrick Graham’s powerful, emotive paintings will be on display at Hillsboro Fine Art.

Chilean artist, Cecilia Vicuña
International artists in the mix will include acclaimed, who will present her first Irish solo show at the Irish Museum of Modern Art. And at SO Fine Art Editions, 40 Irish and Japanese printmakers will respond to Kwaidan, Lafcadio Hearn’s 1904 collection of ghost stories, producing a rich visual dialogue between cultures.
With most of the galleries and exhibition spaces clustered around Dublin’s city centre, it is easy to plan your own trail or follow the curated trails, stopping at the city’s buzzing pubs and cafes to enjoy some refreshment along the way.

The Dublin Gallery Weekend programme also includes behind-the-scenes studio tours and artist meet-and-greets, gallery brunches, talks and workshops giving people the chance to go beyond viewing to understand the artist’s process and connect with the wider contemporary art scene.
The morning to late night events will spotlight Dublin’s thriving cultural and creative life and energy. The city has made a name for itself for its packed calendar of events across art, theatre, music, dance and fabulous food festivals.
