Promoting Ireland to influential North American travel professionals
Eight tourism companies from the island of Ireland travelled to Las Vegas this week, to join Tourism Ireland at the annual Global Travel Marketplace West (GTM West).
GTM West is a three-day event, involving a programme of bespoke one-to-one appointments and networking sessions. It offers an excellent opportunity for the tourism enterprises from Ireland to meet, and do business with, top-producing travel advisors from North America – ensuring the island of Ireland is ‘top of mind’ for them when recommending destinations to their clients.
“Our presence at this year’s GTM West in Las Vegas provides another excellent platform to highlight the many great things to see and do right around the island of Ireland to influential North American travel advisors,”
said Alison Metcalfe, Tourism Ireland’s Head of North America. “Tourism Ireland has prioritised North America as a market which offers a strong return on investment, in terms of holiday visitors and expenditure. In 2019, Tourism Ireland aims to surpass the record-breaking performance of 2018 and to grow revenue from North American visitors by +8% to €1.99 billion, generated by 2.17 million visitors.”
