Destination Delicious! Showcasing Ireland’s fabulous food with chef Dan Doherty

Tourism Ireland campaign with The Daily Telegraph highlights the island of Ireland to 120,000+ across GB

Tourism Ireland has invited chef and TV personality Dan Doherty to film three new videos about our superb food experience. It’s part of Tourism Ireland’s latest campaign with The Daily Telegraph to promote the island of Ireland to Tourism Ireland’s ‘culturally curious’ audience in GB.

Filming is taking place this week – in places like Sawers in Belfast, Abernethy Butter in Dromara, King Sitric restaurant and Dorans on the Pier (both in Howth) and Gallagher’s Boxty House in Temple Bar. Chef Dan Doherty, formerly of the quirky London restaurant Duck & Waffle, is a judge on the BBC1 series Britain's Best Home Cook.

The videos are due to go live in September and will be hosted on the Telegraph website; they will be promoted on the social platforms of both The Daily Telegraph and Tourism Ireland, including Facebook and Twitter, and will be seen by around 123,000 viewers.

Julie Wakley, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Great Britain, said: “We’re really excited to work with Dan Doherty, as part of our latest campaign with The Daily Telegraph. It’s another excellent opportunity to spread the word about our superb culinary offering and what makes a holiday in Ireland unique and truly memorable. Our message here in GB is that the island of Ireland is a superb choice for ‘foodies’ for a holiday or long weekend break.”
