Tourism Ireland has created a new online film inviting potential visitors everywhere to come and discover the island of Ireland during the summer months and immerse themselves in our culture.
Titled "What makes summer in Ireland so special", the video reminds travellers around the world that Ireland is unbeatable for a summer break. It highlights our breath-taking road trips, along the Causeway Coastal Route and the Wild Atlantic Way; as well as our wild waves and superb surfing, at places like Mullaghmore Head in Sligo and Portrush in Co Antrim. It also showcases some of our great summer festivals – including Bloomsday in Dublin, the Dalriada Festival at Glenarm Castle, Sea Sessions in Bundoran and the Kilkenny Arts Festival – reminding prospective visitors why they should put the island of Ireland on their holiday ‘wish list’ for summer 2017.
The film is being promoted through Tourism Ireland’s social platforms, including Facebook (over 3.9 million fans worldwide), Twitter (403,000 followers) and YouTube
