Irish dancers storm Trafalgar Square and the London Underground!
On the eve of St Patrick’s Day and as the world is turning green, Tourism Ireland let loose a giant, walking and talking St Patrick puppet in London’s Trafalgar Square today. The larger-than-life, 16-foot tall puppet interacted with Londoners throughout the day. Tourism Ireland also arranged for a troupe of Irish dancers to perform on Westminster Bridge and on the London Underground – bringing a smile to the faces of Londoners and helping to convey the message that the island of Ireland offers the warmest of welcomes and great fun, as well as wonderful scenery and heritage.
