Cork city and county highlighted in inflight magazine
Passengers on Swiss International Air Lines flights are reading all about Cork city and county this month – in a major article which appears in the June edition of the airline’s inflight magazine. The article coincides with the launch of the new Swiss International Air Lines service between Zurich and Cork, which kicked off at the beginning of June and will operate twice weekly for the summer season.
The magazine, which is distributed on all Swiss flights, has about 130,000 readers – or potential holidaymakers for Cork and Ireland. Tourism Ireland in Switzerland, in conjunction with Fáilte Ireland, invited journalist Gero Günther and photographer Petr Neusser to visit earlier this year. The resulting article appears in this month’s edition of the magazine, describing “Ireland’s second largest city and the mythical countryside close to the wild Atlantic coast” which has “plenty of attractions to lure you to stay”.
It features wonderful images of places like Bantry House, Cobh, Rosscarbery Bay and Glengarriff Nature Reserve. It also includes lots of great ideas and suggestions for places to stay, eat, shop and visit.
