Just in time for Christmas, Tourism Ireland has created a new online film to demonstrate how to make the perfect Irish coffee!
The step-by-step video uses a recipe straight from Foynes, where this deliciously warming drink was invented. It was first created in 1942 by chef Joe Sheridan at Foynes Port, where planes en route from Europe to America would stop to re-fuel. Whipped up one cold winter’s night as a warming treat for passengers who were delayed due to bad weather, the tipple went on to become something of a classic!
The film is being promoted to potential visitors and fans of Ireland through Tourism Ireland’s social platforms, including Facebook (over 4 million fans worldwide), Twitter (457,000 followers) and YouTube
