Spotlight on Ireland at Rimini travel fair
The island of Ireland was promoted by Tourism Ireland to thousands of Italian travel professionals attending the annual TTG Incontri travel fair in Rimini.
Six Irish and Italian tourism companies joined Tourism Ireland at TTG Incontri, an important B2B travel exhibition which attracts about 37,000 Italian travel professionals each year, including influential tour operators and travel agents, as well as leading Italian travel media.
Niamh Kinsella, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Italy, said: “Interest in visiting the island of Ireland remains strong among Italian travellers and our presence at TTG Incontri provided an excellent opportunity to spread the word about the many great experiences that Italians can enjoy right around the island.
“Italy is an important market for tourism to the island of Ireland and 2016 looks set to be another strong year for Italian visitors, with the most recent CSO figures showing growth of +15.5% for the June-August period. We are determined to ensure that growth continues. Our presence at TTG Rimini is just one element of our extensive autumn campaign which is in full swing right now – aimed at boosting late-season travel to Ireland from Italy.”
