New Tourism Ireland video explains how to get to Ireland’s ‘Jedi island’ without a Millennium Falcon!

Tourism Ireland video shows how to get to the Skellig Islands

Tourism Ireland has created a short, animated video showing prospective visitors how they can get to the Skellig Islands – home to both monastic settlements and Jedi Temples!

The film has been produced by Tourism Ireland to show how to get there via land, air and sea. Since making an appearance in the final scene of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Skellig Michael has become perhaps Ireland’s most talked about island.

The film will be shared by Tourism Ireland on its social media platforms – with its Facebook fans (3.6 million fans worldwide), Twitter followers (346,000) and on its YouTube channel. It will also be promoted worldwide on Ireland.com (16.6 million visits in 2015).
