As Kilkenny gets ready to welcome some of the world’s most gifted performers for this year’s Kilkenny Arts Festival, Tourism Ireland has unveiled a new online film – specially created to highlight one of Ireland’s oldest festivals and to entice prospective holidaymakers from around the world to come and experience the great programme on offer and enjoy the medieval city and its hinterland.
The online video was produced by Tourism Ireland and features wonderful images of Kilkenny, including places like St Canice’s Cathedral, Kilkenny Castle and Rothe House – giving people everywhere a flavour of what to expect when they visit.
Niall Gibbons, CEO of Tourism Ireland, said: “Our online film showcasing Kilkenny and its hugely successful arts festival has been created to whet the appetites of potential visitors around the world and encourage them to come and experience this great festival.”
The film is being promoted through Tourism Ireland’s social platforms, including Facebook (3.6 million fans worldwide), Twitter (346,000 followers) and YouTube
