Tourism Ireland congratulates Titanic Belfast on winning ‘best visitor attraction’ in European Group Travel Awards

Congratulating Titanic Belfast on winning the ‘best visitor attraction’ in the European Group Travel Awards, which were announced in Berlin yesterday evening, Niall Gibbons, CEO of Tourism Ireland, said: “Congratulations to Titanic Belfast on this very well deserved award. Since its opening in 2012, Titanic Belfast has become a truly iconic and ‘must visit’ attraction for overseas visitors to Belfast. This latest accolade gives Tourism Ireland another wonderful platform to continue to highlight Belfast and Northern Ireland around the world as a world-class destination. We look forward to continuing to work closely with Titanic Belfast in 2015 and beyond, to welcome many more overseas visitors, coming to experience all that Titanic Belfast and this great city has to offer.”

The inaugural European Group Travel Awards (EGTA) took place yesterday (Thursday, 5 March), in Berlin, to coincide with ITB Berlin, the largest travel trade fair in the world which is taking place in the city this week. They were organised to recognise and celebrate the best suppliers in the group travel sector, with group travel buyers around Europe asked to submit their nominees in 21 different categories.
