New flight from Verona is good news for tourism from Italy
Tourism Ireland warmly welcomes the announcement by Jet2 of a new flight from Verona to Belfast International Airport for summer 2015, which is another boost for tourism to Northern Ireland from Italy.
Niall Gibbons, CEO of Tourism Ireland, said:
“The announcement by Jet2 of a new service from Verona is more good news for tourism to Northern Ireland. As an island, the importance of convenient, direct, non-stop flights cannot be overstated – they are absolutely critical to achieving growth in visitor numbers. Tourism Ireland is committed to working with Jet2 and other tourism interests, through co-operative marketing, to drive demand for this new service – as we work with other carriers and partners to promote and help maintain vital routes and services to Northern Ireland."
