Christoph Mueller has stepped down from the board of Tourism Ireland today (30 April), in advance of his formal appointment as CEO of Malaysia Airlines (tomorrow, 1 May).
Brian Ambrose, Chairman of Tourism Ireland, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to Christoph for the extremely valuable contribution he has made to the work of Tourism Ireland, since taking up his appointment to our board at the end of 2011. I very much valued his enthusiasm and support and the considerable experience he brought to the role. During his time on our board, we have seen Irish tourism return to significant growth, and we are now on track for the best year ever in 2015. We wish him every success in his new role as CEO of Malaysia Airlines.”
