New flight from Rome next summer is good news for tourism from Italy
Tourism Ireland warmly welcomes today’s announcement by Jet2 of a new flight from Rome to Belfast International Airport, due to commence in April 2015, which will certainly help boost tourism to Northern Ireland from Italy.
Niall Gibbons, CEO of Tourism Ireland, said: “Today’s announcement is good news for tourism to Northern Ireland. We already work very closely with Jet2 promoting the Pisa to Belfast flight and we look forward to co-operating with them to maximise the promotion of this new flight to Belfast International Airport. As an island, the importance of convenient, direct, non-stop flights cannot be overstated – they are absolutely critical to achieving growth in visitor numbers.”
