Tourism Ireland has joined forces with celebrity TV chef Paul Rankin and Irwin’s Bakery for a promotion with a difference to highlight next month’s Irish Open at Royal Portrush to golfers across Great Britain.
The special promotion is under way right now, with a competition running on a massive 1.75 million packs of Rankin Selection soda breads in Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose supermarkets right around GB. Golf enthusiasts have the chance to win a fantastic trip to the Irish Open and see our Major winners – Rory McIlroy, Darren Clarke and Graeme McDowell – in action at home in Northern Ireland.
This promotion is just one element of Tourism Ireland’s exceptionally busy promotional programme in the run-up to the Irish Open, to highlight the tournament and to boost the number of golf visitors from Great Britain and other important golf markets around the world. The organisation is urging golf fans to come and attend the Irish Open – and then to extend their trip and try out some of the other fantastic golf courses that Northern Ireland has to offer.
