Gigantic Giant’s Causeway Ad Targets 450,000 Parisians Each Day

A massive 450,000 French commuters are seeing a gigantic poster of the Giant’s Causeway each day as they pass through the Gare Saint Lazare in Paris, Europe’s second busiest railway station.

Just in time for this summer’s opening of the new, world-class visitor centre at the Giant’s Causeway, Tourism Ireland has placed a huge image of the Giant’s Causeway in the iconic rotunda of the St Lazare station – grabbing the attention of commuters with the spectacular scene and reminding them why they should put the Causeway Coast and Northern Ireland on their holiday wish-list for 2012.

Billy Condon, Tourism Ireland’s manager for Southern Europe, said: “This summer sees the opening of the exciting new visitor centre at the Giant’s Causeway, cementing the ‘giant’ reputation of this part of Northern Ireland as a ‘must-see’ destination. Our giant ad, which is so eye-catching and visible in the Gare Saint Lazare, is grabbing the attention of passengers, showing off this spectacular part of Northern Ireland to the full.

“The hugely successful opening of Titanic Belfast has already helped to generate fantastic publicity for Belfast and Northern Ireland here in France. The opening of the new visitor centre at the Giant’s Causeway is another great reason to visit Northern Ireland. Tourism Ireland has a very extensive programme of promotional activity under way throughout 2012, shining the spotlight on Northern Ireland for potential French holidaymakers.”
