International tourism buyers explore St Columb’s Cathedral and more

Top tour operators from the US, France, Germany, Australia and Spain visited Londonderry on a recent fact-finding trip to Northern Ireland.

Flown in by Tourism Ireland to participate in the annual Meet the Buyer workshop, which took place in the newly-opened Titanic Belfast, the tour operators walked across the Peace Bridge, visited St Columb’s Cathedral and had a tour of Derry’s city walls. Before arriving in the City, the group had travelled along the Causeway Coastal route to the Giant’s Causeway where they had a ‘sneak peek’ of the new visitor centre, due to open at the beginning of the summer. They also took in the rope bridge at Carrick-a-Rede and Dunluce Castle.

The visit was organised by Tourism Ireland in conjunction with the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.
