Our first-half marketing campaign for 2017 is under way as we continue to promote the island of Ireland in our 23 markets overseas. This will build on last year’s success and continue to deliver tourism growth.
Ireland’s Ancient East, Dublin, the Causeway Coastal Route, the Wild Atlantic Way and Belfast remain key themes for 2017. Our promotions will include a wide range of top festivals and events which take place across the island of Ireland throughout the year. We will also seek to capitalise on major sporting events, including the Irish Open at Portstewart Golf Club and the Women’s Rugby World Cup in Dublin and Belfast. We will continue to leverage the success of Game of Thrones
and Star Wars
to promote the island of Ireland to new audiences.
Our Global Greening initiative for St Patrick’s Day 2017 is set to be the biggest and best yet, with hundreds of landmarks and iconic sites around the world going green to remind potential visitors of holidays on the island of Ireland.
