Tourism Success from Germany

11 Apr 2010

Business Tourism is top of the agenda for Tourism Ireland in Germany to highlight the great facilities and good value rates available for meetings and conferences here.  The excitement surrounding the opening of The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) and the new Aviva Stadium at Lansdowne Road, as well as the significant investment in venues like the Ulster Museum and Belfast City Hall add weight to Tourism Ireland’s promotions of the island of Ireland overseas as a professional conference destination.

Some recent good news … Axa Insurance Germany will hold its 2011 meetings in Ireland, bringing seven groups of 80 people here for meetings and incentive events.  And, the European Lawyers Football Cup will take place in Dublin in June 2011, when up to 400 lawyers from all over Europe will descend on the city for six nights.

Tourism Ireland works closely with industry partners in the Business Tourism area including Fáilte Ireland, NITB, Dublin and regional convention bureaux.
