Top international tour operators discovered some of Northern Ireland’s Christian heritage along with culinary delights on a recent fact-finding trip themed ‘Ecclesiastical Connections and Seafood of the Mournes’.
Flown in by Tourism Ireland to participate in the Meet the Buyer workshop, the tour operators had a chance to visit Saint Patrick’s Trian, Armagh Public Library and the Navan Centre. The group then travelled to the Mourne Seafood Cookery School for a two-hour demonstration and a lesson in how to buy, handle and cook seafood correctly. The itinerary finished with a tour of Down Cathedral and the Saint Patrick Centre.
The fact-finding visit was organised by Tourism Ireland in conjunction with the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.
