International Tourism Buyers Enjoy the Myths And Legends of Northern Ireland

25 May 2010

Top international tour operators enjoyed some of Northern Ireland’s most historical sites on a recent fact-finding trip themed ‘Myths and Legends’.

Flown in by Tourism Ireland to participate in the Meet the Buyer workshop, the tour operators were guided by local historian and storyteller, Liz Weir, who showed them the sites of Carrickfergus Castle, Dunluce Castle, Glenariff Forest and the Giant’s Causeway.  She then took them on to Mussenden Temple and finished off with tales from Slemish and Galgorm Castle.

The fact-finding visit was organised by Tourism Ireland in conjunction with the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.
