Tourism Ireland in Australia launched its first major TV campaign in more than seven years this week. The creative was developed by global agency JWT, under the brand tagline rolled out earlier this year ‘Go Where Ireland Takes You’. The TV ads have been designed to capture the spontaneity and fun of holidaying here and to show that some of the most wonderful and memorable experiences you are likely to have here will be stumbled on by chance.
Orla Saul, Tourism Ireland Australia, said: “We are very excited about the launch of this TV campaign and feel that the ads will have a particular resonance with Australians, as meeting local people and engaging with the characters of Ireland are key reasons why they visit the island of Ireland.”
The TV campaign will run on Channel 7 (Australia’s top free-to-air channel which rates number one in TV ratings over all other channels) and will target the 55+ age group. It will run for three weeks in conjunction with a significant online campaign. The timing of the TV campaign coincides with the Australian airlines’ Earlybird fare initiatives to Europe. As part of the campaign, viewers will have the opportunity to enter a competition to win a fantastic trip to Ireland.
