Andy Campbell and Peter Smyth from Lough Erne Golf Resort attended the recent PGA Golf Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida. The PGA Show is one of the biggest golf shows in the US, attracting over 45,000 golf professionals and around 1,000 golf media. Lough Erne Resort participated on the Tourism Ireland stand at the show, together with nine other partners from around the island of Ireland.
Alison Metcalfe, Tourism Ireland’s Vice President Marketing in the USA, said:
“The US golf market remains a priority niche within Tourism Ireland’s 2009 marketing programme. The island of Ireland is not only well positioned to capitalise on its reputation as a world-class golfing destination, but the ongoing investment in the golf product on the ground, including the opening of the new Lough Erne Golf Resort, adds further weight to the quality and variety of the golfing experience. We are committed to maintaining the island of Ireland’s market leader position in the golf market and believe that the combination of our world-class golf, quality accommodation and unique brand of hospitality and genuine welcome are second to none in attracting our fair share of American golfers.”
